This course is developed to enable delegates to formally assess their proficiency and accuracy level rather than fluency in legal English and language use.
Delegates will learn the essential terms and concepts in different areas of law and how to apply them in context, including the legal profession, English common law and doctrine of precedent, courts and litigation, banking, commercial contracts structure and boilerplate clauses, contractual remedies, torts, employment law and contracts, business and commercial law, company law, corporate transactions, forms of business, real property, intellectual property as well as plain English writing style and legalese. Depending on the level, the focus area may include grammar, prepositions, collocations, phrasal verbs, letter writing, contract drafting and commercial awareness.
